“Think Positive” is the only organization created for and by People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV). It also addresses the general community in Lebanon by raising awareness and preventing spread of HIV.
Our vision
“Think Positive” aims at making PLHIV essential contributors in all activities, projects, and strategic plans; in addition to re-integrating them in the healthcare system through various undertakings to fight stigma, discrimination, and social isolation.
Our goals
“Think Positive” aims to provide medical care (medications, free HIV testing in collaboration with the National AIDS Program, and related pre and post counseling), psychosocial support, and proper referral system. Additionally the organization aspires to provide opportunities for PLHIV to be active and integrated within the social system and their own communities, as well as having equal job opportunities.
Other goals include positive prevention, awareness campaigns through media, workshops, peer education, and free counseling.
Our activities
“Think positive" organization has a support group for people living with HIV who contribute through specific activities guided by a framework of psychosocial support and empowerment of people living with HIV on several levels.
The organization also includes a group of young members and volunteers who participate in the implementation of various activities in cooperation with ministries and local, regional, and international related organizations.
Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT)
Do you have doubts about your HIV status? Would you like to do an HIV test free of charge, anonymously and confidentially?
“Think Positive” provides Voluntary Counseling and Testing for HIV to all people in need of doing it. It is done free of charge; anonymity and confidentiality are secured. You just need to call at the numbers listed below and take an appointment. You will be seen by persons trained on performing VCT.
